Ice—Melon Water. Pulp the eating part of the fresh fruit through a hair sieve, and boil it. Take 1 lb. of sugar, make a syrup of it with water; boil and clear it. Add this to the pulped fruit with the juice of a lemon. Freeze it. This ice is pretty served in the melon rind.
