Gooseberry Fool. (Mrs. Weston.)
Stew 1 qt. of green gooseberries, with 2 tablespoonfuls of
castor sugar. Pass through a hair sieve—when cold add 1 pt.
of cream with a full tablespoonful (or 1 1/2) of castor sugar, and mix
all well. Put into the refrigerator till wanted, and serve in a trifle
dish or in jelly glasses.
