  1. Cut very thin slices of bread into a basin.
  2. Allow a piece of butter about the size of a walnut for each pudding you intend to make, a little grated lemon peel, a little nutmeg and sugar.
  3. Pour boiling milk over all and cover it up.
  4. Let it stand till cold.
  5. Then add an egg well beaten up for each pudding.
  6. Put the mixture in buttered teacups and bake them 20 minutes.
