“Dead Men's Bones,” or “Frog's Bones.” (Cataldi.) Dessert biscuits, either round, ratafia shape, or long, and glazed outside; should be very crisp. 5 ozs. flour dried and passed through a sieve, ¼ lb. sugar. Whip up alone in a basin the whites of 3 eggs, then add the flour and sugar. Flavour with pounded vanilla. Drop through a funnel on to a baking tin, let them rise a little before the fire; then bake.
