Cherry Pie.
HAVING made a good crust, lay a little of it round
the sides of your dish, and strew sugar at the bottom.
Then lay in your fruit, and some sugar at the top. Put
on your lid, and bake it in a slack oven. If you mix
some currants with the cherries, it will be a considerable
addition.—A plumb or gooseberry-pie, may be made in
the same manner.
