  1. Having made a good crust, lay a little of it round the sides of your dish, and strew sugar at the bottom.
  2. Then lay in your fruit, and some sugar at the top.
  3. Put on your lid, and bake it in a slack oven.
  4. If you mix some currants with the cherries, it will be a considerable addition.

Cherry Pie. HAVING made a good crust, lay a little of it round the sides of your dish, and strew sugar at the bottom. Then lay in your fruit, and some sugar at the top. Put on your lid, and bake it in a slack oven. If you mix some currants with the cherries, it will be a considerable addition.—A plumb or gooseberry-pie, may be made in the same manner.
