For the raspberry juice
For sweetening and preserving
Instructions (8)
  1. Pick fine dry fruit, put into a stone jar.
  2. Put the jar into a kettle of water, or on a hot hearth, till the juice will run.
  3. Strain the juice.
  4. To every pint of juice add half a pound of sugar.
  5. Give one boil, and skim it.
  6. When cold, put equal quantities of juice and brandy.
  7. Shake well, and bottle.
  8. Some people prefer it stronger of the brandy.

Raspberry brandy.
