  1. Prepare fruit with sugar.
  2. If using apples, pare and slice them.
  3. Sprinkle the sliced apples with sugar and some chopped lemon.
  4. Alternatively, stew the prepared apple in a small stone jar until cold.
  5. Make into puffs using thin crust (if stewed) or thick crust (if raw).

Puffs of any sort of Fruit May be made, but it should be prepared first with sugar. Apples will do, as before directed; or, as follows, eat best: the crust must be thick, if used raw. Pare and slice apple; sprinkle sugar, 181and some chopped lemon: or stew in a small stonejar. When cold, make it into puffs of thin crust.
