  4. Bake a pale brown in a moderate oven.
Milk Biscuits
  1. Sift a small teaspoonful of baking powder into 3lb. of flour.
  2. Slightly warm together a gill of milk and 1oz. of butter.
  3. Add this to the flour.
  4. Mix well.
  5. Roll it out.
  6. Stamp it into rounds.
  7. Prick.
  8. Bake for twenty minutes.
