1 pint of
cream
1/2 pint of
milk
1/4 lb. of blanched
almonds
1 oz. of
gum arabic
sugar
to taste
a little
vanilla
Instructions (6)
Pound the almonds to a paste with the gum arabic.
Mix the cream and milk, and heat gently.
Add the almond paste and stir until dissolved.
Strain the mixture through a fine sieve.
Sweeten to taste with sugar and flavour with vanilla.
Pour into a mould and set in a cool place.
